The quality

The clinic's vaccine is made here and sold abroad.

The two main producers of the program's vaccines are public: Bio-Manguinhos, part of Fiocruz (the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation), in Rio de Janeiro, and the Butantan Institute, in São Paulo.

Production also serves other countries. In 2019, Fiocruz announced the sale of 23 million doses of yellow fever vaccine. The buyers were the Pan American Health Organization and Unicef, the UN children's fund.

Before it joins the schedule, every vaccine must be registered with Anvisa, the agency that evaluates medicines in Brazil.
